Hi, thanks for watching our video about Outside Basement Waterproofing repair techniques. The process of outside basement waterproofing (or exterior basement waterproofing) is as follows: - First, we lay out tarps and excavate to the footings of the basement by hand - Next, we clean the concrete foundation wall and repair any masonry defects in the wall (cracks, tie rod holes, voids) etc. - Then we prime the concrete foundation wall and apply a rubberized membrane with fiberglass mesh. Another layer of rubberized membrane is then applied. - The final layer of the membrane is Platon drainage board. This is installed with expansive concrete anchors and a new weeping tile system. - Gravel is then installed on top of the new weeping tile system, and the excavation is backfilled and cleaned up!
